Summer 2009 /Coltrane and Friends

John Coltrane (World Event) from Under The Sun Films on Vimeo.

Summer 2009… Artist Roger Baker and Filmmaker Gary Planken, are extending an invitation for 1,000 sax players to participate in a one of it’s kind event. World renowned field artist Roger Baker will cut 3 portraits of legendary sax players into a huge field (The Worlds Largest). One being John Coltrane, (the other 2 yet to be decided)

It will take place in the Catskill Mountains where many spent their haydays making a name for themselves. The 1,000 sax players will have a special event on the portrait, the details which will be explained to everyone on the portrait the day of the event. There will be venues for the players to play thru-out the town.
Walk in the footsteps of the legends, be part of this special happening. It’s a once in a lifetime event.

Well, it took a while to figure out how to get this new site up to speed, Friends that were helping put it up were out touring or in the studio…making movies or editing their projects. Everyone is trying to do their thing….
We added some great video in the documentay tab at the top, a few commercials ( more to come) and a music project in music videos tab.

Check in once in a while as we add more video to all the catagories at the top of page
